Professor Rhindress is a Senior Vice President at Abt SRBI, a subsidiary of Abt and one of the top 25 nationally-recognized leaders in the social and public policy research industry. In this firm, she works as the principal investigator for survey research work connected with urban issues; travel flows; recreation; environment; and public transit. Her consultancy spans coast to coast and includes government agencies; urban planning firms; private transit providers; academic institutions; national foundations and industry groups; and not-for-profit organizations

She is currently involved in more than 20 projects, including ones that examine the feasibility of high speed rail in the northeast corridor; travel needs of Long Island Rail Road customers; household travel behavior in several regions across the country, national seat belt and car seat safety; national prevalence of distracted driving; public interest in paying more for clean water; and recreational fishing behavior along the Atlantic coast.
